Everything is Light
Artist and Stroudie Jack Wimperis, who was due to light the Pyramid stage at Glastonbury for its 50th Anniversary, went on to create a mesmerising exhibition at The Sub rooms in Stroud.

With a year of things opening and closing, in and out of lockdown stepping into the Everything is Light exhibition was hypnotic and a world away from the chaos outside.
To be able to walk through each pod with something different everywhere you look and be bathed in the various lights.
From repurposing tin cans and milk cartons to using mini-army figures and paint splatters, it’s imaginative and breath-taking. His use of illusions, colour, and deception is exciting. A brilliant experience that captures your eye wherever you look, a truly hypnotic art piece. It was created during Lockdown with Covid at the forefront, to create an exhibition where you can meander through the maze fully masked and feel comfortable as well as safe.

My favourite part of Everything is Light was the light tunnel at the end to be submerged in lights dancing throughout as you walk through was just a wow moment. It was that good we went round twice. Make sure to book tickets and don’t miss out on this enlightening experience. 17th May – 23rd June
The Sub Rooms is an art and community venue, right in the heart of Stroud. With a variety of music, workshops, comedy, theatre, and much more. Due to the pandemic, they are have been closed for 12 months and are currently under restrictions. Venues like The Sub Rooms rely on daily visitors and ticket sales however due to Covid this hasn’t been possible. To help support The Sub Rooms I have attached a link to their crowdfunding page and I know that any donation will be of great help.
